2. I have heard that you have to keep probiotics refrigerated, and to buy probiotics off the shelf at room temperature is not a good idea. How is your way of processing still keeping your probiotics healthy?

The stabilized probiotics we use are dormant at room temperature due to a special cryogenic process.  Only with the addition of water do they become active.  This is why our flora is so far superior to others.  I hope this helps you understand some of the key factors with the GVW versus what is out there.


3. I am a vegetarian and my first concern is how vegetarian is your product?

Our product is not completely vegetarian.  We use shark cartilage and our colostrum comes from New Zealand cows that are organically fed with no steroids, hormones or anti-biotics. The capsules are preservative-free gelatin.

4. What are enzymes and what do they do?

Enzymes are tiny proteins that are found in all raw foods to help them digest and be more readily absorbed in the body.  Enzymes are destroyed at 118 F and are not present in processed foods.  This puts the burden on the body to digest the food on its own and when it can't do it properly, problems arise.  If fats are not digested properly we get excess fat storage and heart disease.  If sugars are not digested properly we can get Diabetes and when Proteins don't have the needed enzymes we can get Arthritis and other conditions.

5. Do you use organic ingredients?  Are there fillers? 

All ingredients that can be organic, are.  There are no fillers.  We stuff as many nutrient-dense whole foods as we can into each capsule.

6. What is the capsule made out of?

The GVW utilizes a preservative-free gel capsule.  This capsule is an animal by product, but it is only the gel and it has been thoroughly tested for purity and safety.  There are products for joints on the market, which have only this form of gel as their only ingredient due to its incredible benefits.

7. What is the cellular absorption rate of your vitamins?

The cellular absorption rate is based on the individual ingredients.  For example, if you look at our website under minerals you will see different absorption rates from the studies of each mineral.

Every single nutrient in the product has a proprietary delivery system know as "opti-blend" .  This delivery system utilizes enzymes and patented minerals in specific amounts to break down the nutrients and deliver them on the cellular level. The absorption of the vitamins and minerals are dependent on a couple factors.  A.  Are the nutrients in there organic state?  In other words, are the nutrients in the state as close to the form they were in when they were in the ground.  Nature makes foods in the right form so that they are absorbed properly including the Vitamins and Minerals.

Most products are synthetically made and do not have the same absorption benefits. No heat is used to make our vitamin. That is one of the reasons that the formula is in a capsule. We use plant enzymes, live probiotics and whole foods in our formula. So we need to make sure that the temperature never goes above 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the entire process so that everything is alive and stays that way. 

23. When the vitamins are formulated, what is the resident frequency used?

We utilize the understanding of Dextrorotatory spins with our nutrients. What this means is that we make sure every nutrient has a right hand (life-giving) spin to it. If it is a Levorotatory (non life-bearing) spin then we do not use that nutrient.

26. Is this form of glucosamine from shellfish or is it from another source?

Our form of glucosamine has never and will never be from shellfish. We get our glucosamine from shark or free-range bovine.

27. "I've heard iron is bad for women to take after menopause." How do you respond to this?

Organic absorbable iron is not bad for women to take after menopause. If this were true, you would be told not to eat dark green vegetables. The non-absorbable form of iron (iron sulfate) is what is not good for them to take because it is so hard for the body to absorb and can cause other health problems.

28. Where do the fruits and vegetables used to make the Greatest Vitamin in the World come from? Are they ALL organic?

Every fruit and vegetable that can come organic, does. Many of our fruits come from the Ecuadorian rain forest. All of our fruits and vegetables are pesticide-free.

29. Does Optimal Health Systems only manufacture this vitamin? And if they do manufacture other vitamins, do those vitamins also contain only whole foods and chelated minerals?

The concern here is that if they manufacture other supplements which are not as pure as ours, there might be a risk of contamination from using the same machines and equipment.

Optimal Health Systems also makes products for Doctors and Professional Athletic Teams but they only use the same nutrient standards that are in the Greatest Vitamin in the World. There is no compromise ever when it comes to an Optimal Health Systems formulation.

30. What are the "K" and "J" factors in reference to the "Whole Vitamin C"?

They represent the other unknown nutrient factors that are present in Vitamin C but haven't been named yet.

31. Does the Greatest Vitamin in the World nutritionally support the body against varicose veins?

The Greatest Vitamin in the World contains many Antioxidants like Grape Seed, Vitamins C, A and E.  Antioxidants have been proven to strengthen the walls of the blood passages.  It is the weakness of these linings that allows varicose veins to happen. 

Varicose veins are believed to be caused by both pressure and free radical damage that the Antioxidants neutralize.  The Protease enzyme in the GVW helps to digest out the blood sludge and help with the pressure being forced in the linings as well.

32. Can you give the Greatest Vitamin to animals?

Yes. There are no contraindications for animals.

33. What is the source for our Vit B12 (cyanocobalamin??? what is this?)

The B source for the GVW is Vegetarian Yeast. All of the whole foods are fed the regular source of vitamins that are found in the stores. The whole foods take in the left hand spin versions and convert them over just like plants do in nature.

34. I thought Vitamin E, as from d-alpha tocopherols, was synthetic. GVW lists Vit E with d-alpha tocopherols, can you explain this?

35. The probiotic blend lists some unusual sounding strains: for example: Bifidobacterium infantis... what do these various strains represent and where are they from?

All of the strains of probiotics come from Nebraska cultures. These specific strains were picked by the world's leading authorities (The Shahanis) as the ones that are most needed in the human intestinal tract for increased immunity and absorption of nutrients.

36. How can I find "proof" that the GVW is being endorsed by the NBCCA?

The NBCCA has a website that talks about Optimal Health Systems' endorsement. Optimal Health Systems is the company that makes the GVW. You will notice that Doug Grant is the official Nutritional Consultant to the NBCCA and he is also the chief formulator for the GVW. Also, it would not be legal for any company to print such a claim on their bottle if the claim were not indeed factual.

37. What process is used (freeze-drying, lyopilization, etc...) in the production of the Greatest Vitamin in the World?

The process used in the GVW is specific to each type of nutrient.  The whole foods are cool-air dried so that the enzyme content is retained. The probiotics utilize a patented cryogenic process developed at the University of Nebraska under the direction of Dr. Khem Shahani. The minerals are organically chelated with amino acids through a patented process through Albion Labs in Clearfield Utah. The Enzymes are all plant based and they are from a fermentation process out of India under the direction of Vic Rathy.

41. Is there any way to remove yeast from the vitamin?

The yeast in our formula is a nutritional yeast, which does not create any of the adverse reactions other yeasts do. Most people that normally have sensitivities to certain ingredients such as this, or to certain vegetables, do not have these same sensitivities to the GVW because we use enzymes to pre-digest the nutrients. 42. Are your vitamins gluten free?

43. Is it really necessary to take 3 vitamins 3 times per day if a person is smaller than average height and lighter than average weight?

The Greatest Vitamin in the World is formulated to give you 100% of your daily needs for Vitamins and Minerals based on Government regulations for the average American.

These basic daily needs are actually just a guideline and we have found that every adult needs at least these amounts. 

You are fine with taking the recommended amount and your body will definitely benefit from them even if there is a little extra because you are taking in whole foods.

44. I have heard that streptococcus thermophilus is not a good thing to take at a long period of time. Is this true?

Thermophilus is a great choice for our formula because it is one of the friendly bacteria that is deficient in a lot of the U.S. population due to our poor diet choices.

Dr. Khem Shahani helped me with the probiotic choices and dosages with this formula and he has many peer reviewed published articles and research studies he has performed at the Univ. of Nebraska.  In fact, he has been noted as the world's leading authority in probiotics.  He passed away not too long ago but he was always talking about the importance of acidophilus and the other bacteria like thermophilus being added back on a daily basis to support the immune system and aid in digestion.

Antibiotics, Carbonation and Stress are not specific to what bacteria they destroy.  All the friendly bacteria are destroyed when consuming these products.  It makes sense that we need to add them all back to the body consistently.

45. What do your gelatin capsules consist of?

There are two types of gelatin capsules.  The most popular type of capsule is not tested for pesticides or any residue from the animals. 

Our capsules are pesticide and contaminant free.  The source is usually bovine but the only thing that is used is the gel.

We use only the germ and it is gluten-free.

48. The greatest vitamin in the world only contains 30 IU of vitamin E per daily serving. I thought the daily requirement for vitamin E was 400 IU. Please email me and correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm right that the daily requirement of vitamin E should be 400 IU, then why does your vitamin product only have 30 IU of vitamin E as a 100% daily serving?

The supplemental label laws from the FDA list vitamin E at 30 IU's for 100% of a person's daily needs. We go off of the governments studies and recommendations.

49. Can children "still" take the GVW now that it has yerba mate in it, which has stimulant effects?

Yes the amount of yerba mate is very small and will not adversely affect children in any way.

50. At what age can children start taking the vitamin?

Whenever they can swallow a capsule, they can start taking it because the vitamin is derived from whole foods. The ingredients are safer and better-absorbed than most children's multi-vitamins on the market.

51. Some women stay away from wild yam because of the hormonal effects...what info or advice do you give for someone like this?

The hormonal effects are from providing the whole food, and the body using what it needs. For most people the yam acts just like a sweet potato and provides great amounts of vitamin A.

52. Why is there shark cartilage in it?

Research has shown that it is one of the greatest nutrients for joint repair available.

53. Are there any side effect with the GVW? i.e. the sleeping supplement? Does it help you sleep or does it keep you awake? Should we be careful when driving?

There are no adverse side effects to the sleeping benefits of the GVW.  Research has shown that certain "Common" nutrients like Magnesium and Calcium levels can control your sleeping patterns and ability to get into REM (Deep) sleep.

The other herbs in the formula that help also help replenish what is missing in the body instead of using a drug-like effect like other formulas.

55. I am allergic to caffeine, is there caffeine in GVW.....especially with the new addition of Yerba Mate in it? There is a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine as part of the plant of the Yerba Mate.

This shouldn't be a concern since it is in the whole food state but if it is then you will be happy to know that within a month we will be adding in dozens of additional fruits and vegetables and removing any of the natural caffeine present just for people like you.

56. Will the GVW help with blood clotting problems in both humans and animals? The blood clotting issue is one that research has shown to be benefited greatly by the use of proteolytic enzymes like Protease.

The GVW has many nutrients like enzymes, vitamin E and others that have proven very beneficial in nutritionally supporting conditions like this.

57. "Research shows having spinach present with calcium prevents absorption of the calcium" is this true?

The only time spinach or any other food can hurt the absorption of Calcium is when the Calcium is not in the Amino Acid Chelated form.  Our minerals are complete just like nature makes them.  The reason other minerals like Calcium carbonate or Calcium citrate have a hard time when they are combined with foods is because they are not complete and one of the receptor sites of the mineral is bound to chemicals in the food that make it hard to absorb.

58. Is heat involved in the chelation process of making the vitamin?

Yes, at first there is a heat chemical reaction that bonds the mineral to the amino acids just like nature does.  This is a natural process that occurs but one as the research points out, doesn't denature any of the minerals.

59. What is the ORAC value in our antioxidants?

Although the ORAC value is important, The Greatest Vitamin in the World's Antioxidant protection was formulated from a different angle.  Science has discovered many different free radicals.  We formulated the GVW to combat these oxidants with the specific nutrients to neutralize each different radical.  This is why the A, C, E, S are in the formula along with the Grape extracts, Herbs and teas.

You can shoot for a high ORAC value or be specific with a formulation and we went specific.

60. Does the greatest vitamin have carbohydrates in it?

There is a difference between Macronutrients like Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats.  Micronutrients are vitamins, minerals, enzymes and probiotics.  A vitamin product is a micronutrient product and is not considered a Carbohydrate.  If there were carbs or proteins in the formula it would have to be listed on the label.

61. Is licorice root bad for people with diabetes?

We use a special form of Licorice Root that does not cause any adverse reactions for diabetes as far as the known research shows.

62. Is anything in GVW bad for people with a heart condition?
